If there’s anyone with the perfect vantage point for shooting Botswana’s wildlife, it is Habano Laurell Mokopi, a professional tour guide who frequently takes visitors to his country’s top game reserves. We chatted to Habano about his career highlights and profile some of his best shots taken on the job.

2. The Job:
I take tourists around Botswana into national parks and game reserves. In my personal capacity, I take photographs of the wildlife I come across.
3. Best Part of the Job?
Camping, game-driving and photography.
4. Scary Moment on the Job?
Crossing a river in my vehicle (without a snorkel!) during a game drive and having the vehicle break down…
5. Job Highlights:
The fact that I have a very good record with all my clients. I’ve never had a complaint about my service in guiding and I’m very proud of it. Other highlights of my career include: working in game lodge kitchens, front offices and restaurants.
